MONTREAL – Having a zero tolerance policy on positive and empowering language about women, Pornhub was forced to disable commenting after a rash of extremely respectful comments about female performers surfaced on the popular porn site this week.
“We’ve never seen anything like this. The level of respect these commenters showed not only porn stars but women generally was absolutely horrifying,” reported Jannik Herber, CEO of MindGeek, which owns Pornhub and other popular porn sites. “Talking about women in a non-dehumanizing way has always been unacceptable across all of our adult entertainment properties.”
With commenting disabled indefinitely, avid Pornhub user Jacob Kahler was understandably upset. “I comment on every video I watch and have never been tempted to leave anything resembling a respectful comment about women. It just takes a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone. What assholes!”
One moderator, who wished to remain anonymous due to fear of retaliation, immediately notified corporate when she noticed comments becoming polite, some even putting women on a pedestal. “The comments about women were totally disgusting and uncalled for,” the moderator told reporters.
Pornhub provided reporters with transcripts of the now deleted comments and they were shocked by what was said. Commenting under an interracial double penetration video, TrueLadiesMan wrote, “This little lady deserves her Prince Charming and a beautiful home in the suburbs.” Inspired by a video titled Killing Him With My Pu$$y, StepWolf112 wrote, “She’s nothing short of a kind, gentle and loving woman. She’ll make an excellent mother.”
“It’s going to take some time to clean up the site,” stated Mr Herber, “but we’re dedicated to our art. Moving forward, users who violate our community standards will be permanently banned from all of our properties.”
